Louvre Museum (France)

The Louvre Museum in Paris, France, is the most visited and one of the oldest, largest, and most famous art galleries and museums in the world. The Louvre has a long history of artistic and historic conservation, inaugurated in the Capetian dynasty until today. The building was previously a royal place and is famous for holding several of the world's most beautiful works of art, such as Leonardo da Vinci's Mona Lisa, The Virgin and Child with St. Anne, Madonna of the Rocks, and Alexandros of Antioch's Venus de Milo. Located in the centre of the city of Paris.

I have visited this museum on numerous occassions, especially when I lived and studied in Paris in 1998. Amazing compilation of great works of art. A must see when in Paris.

In my two times in Paris I have been there twice yet I probably seen 1/10. it's an enormous museum and most beautiful I have visited. The collection is huge and it's amazing to see the mummy and the faraos. I have also seen the Mona Lisa but it was a total bummer, Firstly the picture is so small and I could hardly seen due to the crowd that was gathered around there. Second I discovered that that "oeuvre" it's actually a fake, a imitation and the real one is stored. Come on. But overall a great experience and I got to see the beautiful Pyramid o the outside and just relax in the gardens near by watching the people and The Seine.
